The final days of September bring a bit of a post-state fair hangover for some. But, here's a reason to get out this weekend. Enjoy some great music while helping out the Gulf Coast Hurricane Ike Relief Fund. Robert Plant and Allison Krauss will be at the Zoo Amphitheatre Friday night for this benefit concert, and tickets are still available. Get venue information here on About.com OKC.
Oklahoma City Thunder players and members of the dance team will be there as well, collecting food donations for Feed the Children. The first 500 concert-goers who bring two or more non-perishable food items and present a valid concert ticket to the show will receive a voucher for two tickets to the October 14th preseason game against the Clippers.
Elsewhere in music, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic continues their season Saturday with the Classics Concert "Reinventing the Past: Part I,"
featuring Beethoven's Triple Concerto. And Riverwind's ShowPlace Theatre will have country legend Charley Pride on Saturday.
Also, Harn Homestead is hosting the 4th Annual "Hootenanny at the Harn"
Friday. The fundraiser for the museum features a horseshoe tournament, live music, barbecue and much more.
And finally, make your way to the Plaza District at NW 16, between Classen and Penn for the Plaza District Festival from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday. There will be visual arts, live music, multi-cultural dance, food, activities for the kids and more. And following that, from 7-11 p.m., will be the Plaza District Music Fest, featuring the Sheree Chamberlain Band, The City Lives, The Non and Map of the Sea.
