Jerryd Bayless scored 33 points to lead the Arizona Wildcats to an 83-73 win over the California Golden Bears in Pac-10 Conference action at the McKale Center.

Jordan Hill added 21 points and 11 rebounds for Arizona (16-8, 6-5 Pac-10), while Chase Budinger chipped in with 18 points in the win.

California (14-9, 5-7) was paced by Patrick Christopher who scored 21 points in a losing effort. Ryan Anderson added 19 points and 15 rebounds for the Golden Bears, while Jerome Randle and DeVon Hardin chipped in with 17 and 11 points, respectively.

Despite shooting just 35.7 percent from the floor in the first half, Arizona managed to take a 31-30 lead at the break.

The Wildcats pulled away in the second stanza, shooting 14-of-23 from the field to seal the 10-point win.

Foul shooting was the difference in this contest, as Arizona outscored California 29-11 at the charity stripe.
